So, guess who has two thumbs and is working on a new comic story? This guy!
I’ve found I can only edit my novel for so long before I start getting restless, so it’s nice to have a fresh project with a solid deadline.
The story I’m working on is for Ink & Drink Comics’ upcoming romance anthology, On The Rocks. Romance is not my strongest genre, so coming up with an appropriate story was a challenge. However, with a persistence I finished the first draft of the script and have passed it along to my artist collaborator, the talented Ellis Ray III (feel free to check out his deviantart page. He’s got some interesting stuff there).
More details? It’s tempting to give them, but for now all I’ll say is that it involves a trickster, a uniquely dysfunctional marriage, and one severely pissed off goddess.
I’ll post further details as they develop.
In other news, a couple of weeks ago I packed my car trunk with the bulk of my belongings and moved my life to the west coast. Portland, Oregon! Woohoo!
In hindsight it was a surprise decision for me too. Not to say I regret it, not in the least, but if you had asked me two months ago if I was considering living in the Oregon for six months (or possibly longer if all goes well), I would have looked at you like you were a crazy person and slowly backed away. For the record though, I try not to judge Past-Sam. He’s a little behind on the times.
Okay, back to work for me. I have a new city to explore, a new story to finish, and more fun (and not so fun) challenges on the horizon.
Have an awesome weekend everyone!
